I'm SICK of Tim Tebow!

I'm pretty sure all are aware that the Florida Gators have a QB by the name of Tim Tebow.
The guy is a specimen: 6-foot-2, 240 lbs...can run over LBs, and complete passes, while running the spread option offense.

He is also a humanitarian, a humble Christian, and a seemingly squeaky clean guy...and I couldn't be sicker of him.

I'm sick about hearing about how great he is on and off the field..with every announcer and color commentator (mostly on CBS) prepared to get on their knees and give him what they think he needs.

I've come to the conclusion that he is a pure system QB that couldn't function in a pro-style offense. The guy has a horrible throw that will get picked off in the next level: A long wind up, and unbalanced base, and a sidearm wobbler that can be picked off by even the worst pro-DBs. The guy is a fullback playing QB, and FB is where I expect him to be in the pros. A guy his style will not translate to the NFL.

Also, this whole "perfect angel" bit is getting old. I don't care if he helped circumcised children in a 3rd world country, or is a missionary in his spare time. Also, the whole "thanking my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" line is getting obnoxious and played out, and I'm a Christian.

Also, why praise a guy so much that, academically, is the antithesis of what is wrong in college athletics? He is a Family, Youth, and Community Sciences Major. I think they made that up at Florida just for him. I've never even heard of this major, nor do I have a clue of what you would do with it, except be the President of the Neighborhood Watch, or go on to be a Youth Group leader, or a peer councilor.

Why does he get such attention when their are players like Florida State's Myron Rolle who not only is getting a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, but is graduating in five-and-a-half semesters to go study to be a brain surgeon! Rolle has gotten one major story about him, while Tebow is talked about non-stop.

I'm no way denying that Tebow is a hell of an athlete and appears to be an upstanding individual. Plus, the guy has a smoking hot girlfriend that, let's say, needs no help in case she gets tired swimming.

I'm just sick and tired of him, and can't wait for him to graduate or leave early.

  1. I was at the game so I don't know how much the TV coverage showed of T-BOZO's prancing around the sidelines and on the field. It looked more like gloating to his adoring fans rather than firing up his teammates in order to secure a win. Some call him humble. What?? More like arrogant! With a capital "A".

  2. I agree.
I'm getting ready to write one on Percy Harvin...who I am more sick of than Tebow...but yes, Tebow does seem like a gloater.

Also, did anyone catch after they scored late in the SEC title game, he took his helmet off and wasn't flagged. I think he was on the field, can anyone clarify?

  3. Your whining never stops, seems to me you're just jealous of Tebow. This is a poorly written blog, bland and lacking any unique insight.

Case in point on your stupidity, you say Rolle has one major article written on him. How uninformed and clueless you are. Simply google him and see... so either your are misleading the very rare reader or you're ignorant.

It's insane to blame Tebow for the attention he gets,he doesn't ask for it. Grow up so, your mama's boy days should be past you.

  4. Thanking the Lord should never get old. In everything we do, we are supposed to give thanks to the One who has made it possible. Tim Tebow just has a public outlet to do that. Don't blame him for obeying what the Lord says to do.

    Psalm 92:1-2
It is good to say, "Thank you" to the Lord, to sing praises to the God who is above all gods. Every morning tell him, "Thank you for your kindness," and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness."

Also, Christians are also supposed to lift one another up, so try to be nice.

  5. Friend, it does seem more like you are jealous of Tebow than your article rings true. Please don't claim to be a 'Christian.'If you were actually someone seeking to follow Christ, not just another American who claims he/she believes in God and attends church but really has no fruit resulting from a growing life in the Lord, you wouldn't be tearing down a young man who is seeking to bring God glory and leading people, on his team and outside of it, into the Truth of God. Does he have flaws? Of course he does. And the guy has to deal with being considered Superman, everyone watching his every move, people looking for a slip-up so they may tear him down and ruin his testimony. I'd say he's done a pretty good job upholding his integrity. You think you're a 'Christian,' but you may want to look yourself in the mirror. Maybe you should seek to have a few of the qualities that Tebow exhibits, despite his flaws. "Christian" is not just a name to claim.
    p.s. It's spelled, 'counselor.'
